With a first-class Illustration degree and over a decade of experience, I excel in drawing, painting, and illustrating. I am deeply passionate about social, political, and environmental issues, and these themes frequently inspire my work. Whether working physically or digitally, my style is expressive and experimental, incorporating mixed media and printmaking techniques influenced by people and the environment.

PRINTMAKING

ILLUSTRATED POETRY

The poem is typed on a digitally illustrated background of a forest. The left side of a tree borders the right of the page, with a jackdaw sitting on a branch facing the left. A branch is above his head, separating the poem from the title. There is grass and mushrooms growing up from the bottom of the page and silhouettes of trees behind the poem and bird. The poem reads:
"Racing, swerving,
feathers shining,
Tag - you're it!
Wings arched, sharp nose diving,
a race against the wind.
Soar and glide,
a knowing grin,
a silent conversation.
A growing congregation.
Fast and furtive,
fun and flirting,
above the clouds they sing,
high they fly and
down they swoop,
a cheeky blink,
a clever nod,
a fearless group.
The Corvid gang
has claimed the skies.
It is the Jackdaw's playground."

"O' Ancient Ones,
hear me call,
I wish for a
spiritual connection.
Your weathered treasure
holed and worn,
a lifeline to
Mother Nature.
A serpent's egg,
a protection charm,
lead me to the land of awakening,
moon gazing and magick making.

Heavy on my chest it rests,
a sign you protect
as I connect
and reflect on the power of
the adder stones,
holy stones,
witches, fae, and
Odin's stones,
peer through the hole and
see the truth stones,
the mighty power of
the Hag stones."

"So little time, so much to do.
I know that's what they say,
or, at least it's something
like that. Either way,
you never really believe it
until your
"To Do List"
is as long as the longest
piece of string,
and you're scheduling in an
extra work hour at 3am
so that you can kid yourself you
have more hours the next day,
because,
(as much as some might say),
24 hours isn't enough when
the cost of a minute is more than
your weekly wage.
Anyway, it may sound okay,
but how do those with
28 hobbies
7 jobs
2 voluntary roles
5 side hustles
and at least 3 extra voices
keep on top of it all?
Asking for a friend. I don't know.
I suppose for now I'll just have to
keep adding to my "To Do List"
as I watch the seconds tick by,
scribbles shouting orders that
are bound to be ignored and
I'm left wondering if,
like always,
maybe I'm wasting my time?"

"I think I'd like to write a book,
filled with long-lost worlds afar.

Just one problem, I can't sing,
maybe I could dance?
That won't work, I've two left feet!
I wouldn't stand a chance.

Then surely I could sell my art,
wouldn't that be cool?
And when we went to galleries,
we'd see my paintings on the wall.

I have so many dreams, you see,
it's hard to pick just one.
If I could, I'd make my money
just by having fun.

But that isn't how the world works;
our dreams get overlooked.
So, if I have to make a choice,
I think I'd like to write a book."
